According to the DHS Class of 1964 website (www.dhsclassof1964.com), John Pigg has passed away.  That website contains the following statement:

Johnny Pigg was tragically killed in a motor accident in Johannesburg.  He was selling cars at the time.  The accident apparently happened at an intersection not far from his place of work.
